The cementious siding was not removed largely intact and areas of likely breakage, where it was fastened to the house, were not wetted to control release of asbestos fibers.

29 CFR  1926.1101(h)(1)(iii): Respirators were not used during Class II and III asbestos jobs where wet methods were not used:   a)  113 Michael Street, South Plainfield, NJ 07080  On or about May 21, 2024 and day(s) thereafter, employee(s) of JCG Carpentry LLC removed siding shingles containing 12% Chrysotile asbestos during the demolition of a single-family home. The cementious siding was not removed largely intact and areas of likely breakage, where it was fastened to the house, were not wetted to control release of asbestos fibers.  Air-purifying respirators equipped with High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters were not provided and required by the employer for the protection of employee(s) from airborne asbestos fibers.  Note:  Does not apply to ACM removal from sloped roofs when a negative exposure assessment has been conducted and ACM is removed in an intact state.
