(II), 132-02 89th Avenue, Suite # 217, Richmond Hill, NY 11418. a) On or about 5/29/2024, Lab Technician employees engaged in routine use of corrosive chemicals such as, but not limited to, Sodium hypochlorite solution (>= 10 - < 20 %), methanol (<= 100 %), and formic acid (99%) without eye protection equipment. The employer did not adequately assess the workplace to determine if hazards were present that required the need of proper personal protective equipment to protect employees from corrosive chemicals. Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.

The employer did not ensure effective training information was given to employees. Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19. The York Analytical Laboratories Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1200 (h)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1634605, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 5/30/2023 , with respect to a workplace located at 120 Research Drive., Stratford, CT 06615
