OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards due to the failure of a climbing rope that was subjected to excessive stress.  a) 28 Sunset Ridge: On or about July 8, 2024 and times prior, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards when using a 150 ft, 12mm (1/2"), Samson Arborfreak climbing rope beyond it's designated working load limits to remove trees.

29 CFR  1910.151(b):There was neither an infirmary, clinic, or hospital used for the treatment of all injured employees in near proximity to the workplace nor a person or persons adequately trained to render first aid:  a) 28 Sunset Ridge: On or about July 8, 2024 and times prior, employees removing storm damaged trees without medical services in nearby proximity were not provided with or had an employee who was trained in first aid on site.
