29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  a) 1151 Sheffler Drive Chambersburg, PA 17201 - On or about July 9, 2024, employees were operating the CNC machines for metal machining work and were wearing eyeglasses.  The employer did not ensure that each affected employee was wearing appropriate eye protection that complied with ANSI Z87.1 consensus standards.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use.  a) 1151 Sheffler Drive Chambersburg, PA 17201 - On or about July 9, 2024, employees were using corrosive chemicals to include but not limited to, Superclean Degreaser, to clean parts and did not have access to an eye-wash station to provide quick flushing of the eyes.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
