29 CFR  1926.451(g)(4)(i):Guardrail systems were not installed along all open sides and ends of platforms.  a) 6 Park Place, Neptune City, NJ: Two employees were observed performing siding duties from a pump jack scaffold approximately twenty-five from the ground below. The  pump jack scaffold did not have the end rails installed. In addition, the employees were not wearing personal fall protection or protected by any other means. Observed on or about 07/10/24.  NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13):Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):  a) 6 Park Place, Neptune City, NJ: Two employees were observed sitting on a 6/12 pitch roof approximately twenty feet  from the ground below. The employees were not wearing personal fall protection or protected by any other means. Observed on or about 07/10/24.  NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
