29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes were not free and/or unobstructed. No materials or equipment may be placed, either permanently or temporarily, within the exit route. a. On or about August 22, 2024, at the main laboratory area, at the Altona Medical Art Complex facility. Employees were exposed to struck by and fire hazards caused by an exit route and door temporarily obstructed with several hazardous waste cardboard boxes stacked and stored along the route. NOTE: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and health officer within 24 hours of the inspection.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1):Sufficient access and working space was not provided and maintained about all electric equipment (operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground) to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment: a. On or about August 22, 2024, at the storage access stairway, at the Time Center Bldg. facility. An electrical panel was not readily accessible. Three large cardboard boxes and two hazardous waste bags were stored below the panel area. NOTE: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and health officer within 24 hours of the inspection.
