29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) 14 W. Bayberry Dr., Long Beach NJ: An employee was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately thirty feet to the ground below. The employees was observed on the edge of a 4:12 pitched roof and was not connected to safety lanyard. Observed on or about 08/22/24 NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2): The employer did not assure that each employee exposed to fall hazards was trained by a competent person qualified in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii) a) 14 W. Bayberry Dr., Long Beach NJ: An employee was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately thirty feet to the ground below. The employees was observed on the edge of a 4:12 pitched roof and was not connected to safety lanyard. The employees lacked the training to identify, correct, and identify the proper equipment to limit exposure to fall hazards. Observed on or about 08/22/24 NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
