29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. (a) 889 Baltimore Street, Hanover, PA - On or about October 8, 2024, the employee(s) were installing metal sheeting on the trusses of the 4 and 12 pitched roof at approximately 28 feet above the ground and were not protected from fall hazards through the trusses. (b) 889 Baltimore Street, Hanover, PA - On or about October 8, 2024, the employee(s) climbed off of the leading edge of a 4 and 12 pitched partially sheeted metal roof at approximately 28 feet above the ground and were not protected from fall hazards. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.

29 CFR 1926.761(b): The employer did not train each employee exposed to a fall hazard in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1926.761: (a) 889 Baltimore Street, New Oxford, PA 17350 - On or about October 8, 2024, the employee(s) were installing metal sheeting on the trusses of the 4 and 12 pitched roof at approximately 28 feet above the ground and were not trained to protect themselves from the potential hazard of the fall. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
