29 CFR  1926.501(b)(1): General. "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.   a. Located near 6198 Young Road Grove City, OH 43123: On or about October 24, 2024, the employer did not ensure that employees installing flashing on top of a firefighter training structure were protected from falling by a fall protection system. As a result, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 18 feet.
