The guarding device shall did not conform with any appropriate standards therefor, or, in the absence of applicable specific standards, was not designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of his body in the danger zone during the operating cycle. a) Facility Wide - On October 29, 2024, the employer did not ensure that employees operating a pallet dismantler were protected from contact with the blade during the pallet dismantling process. Etchings were not marked on the table in order to prevent employees from placing their hands close than one foot from the saw blade during operation. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
