29 CFR 1910.28(b)(8)(ii): Floor markings at least 6 feet (1.8 m) from the edge of the pit were not in colors that contrast with the surrounding area and a warning line at least 6 feet (1.8 m) from the edge of the pit as well as stanchions were not in place.    a) Engine repair shop; On or about October 30, 2024 and times prior, employees worked in the engine repair shop with an open pit to repair locomotive engines.  Access to the pit was not limited by floor markings, warning signs or stanchions, exposing employees to a fall of 5 feet.
