29 CFR  1926.416(a)(1):The employer permitted employees to work in close proximity to energized, unguarded, and ungrounded electric power circuits that the employee could contact in the course of their work:   a) Worksite 920 Johnson Avenue, Ronkonkoma, NY 11779 - An employee was exposed to electrical hazards while working on a commercial roof installing rafters and plywood sheathing within one foot of 240 volt energized wires for service to a commercial property; on or about November 7, 2024.  Note:  The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  a) Worksite 920 Johnson Avenue, Ronkonkoma, NY, 11779 - Employees on site were installing roof rafters on top of a pre-existing low slope commercial roof approximately 11-feet above the ground. Employees were working on an unprotected edge while loading rafters onto the roof and were exposed to falling without any means of fall protection; on or about November 7, 2024.   Note:  The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
