29 CFR  1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area:  On or about November 13, 2024, the employer failed to ensure that employees were provided with effective information and training on the hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of initial assignment, when an employee exposed to chemicals including, but not limited to, mild steel welding fumes and hexavalent chromium was not provided training. The employee had started after the annual training conducted in July 2024.  Black Lion Products, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.1200(h)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1448436, citation number 1, item number 3d and was affirmed as a final order on March 5, 2020 with respect to a workplace located at 3710 Hendricks Road, Austintown, OH 44515.
