29 CFR  1926.451(c)(2)(iv):Front-end loaders and similar pieces of equipment were used to support scaffold platforms when they were not specifically designed by the manufacturer for such use:  a) Worksite was located at 4/6 Osborn Dune Road, Mantoloking, NJ 08738:  A worker was exposed to fall hazards while working on sheathing a new residential building as they were standing on a supported shop-built scaffold platform while not utilizing fall protection. The scaffold platform that had no sides or guardrails, was supported by a JLG  Model 742 Telehandler, Serial Number 0160099520.  Violation was observed on or about December 3, 2024.  NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

The telehandler was moved into position for the worker while the worker stood on the platform. The scaffold platform was supported by a JLG Model 742 Telehandler, Serial Number 0160099520.
