29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was six or more feet (1.8m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest system. a. On or about January 16, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing carpentry operations, eighteen (18) feet ten (10) inches above a lower level, were not protected from falls, thereby exposing the employees to fall hazards. b. On or about January 16, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing carpentry operations, approximately fourteen (14) feet above a lower level, was not protected from falls, thereby exposing the employee to fall hazards. c. On or about January 16, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing carpentry operations, eight (8) feet six (6) inches above a lower level, were not protected from falls, thereby exposing the employee to fall hazards. d. On or about January 16, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing carpentry operations were exposed to fall hazards due to the presence of an unguarded HVAC opening on the third floor, thereby exposing employees to a fall hazard of approximately 26'.
