Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest systems.   A) 35 Island Drive, Rye - NY: Employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 24 1/2-feet while engaged in roofing work on a residential structure, without a means of fall protection in place, on or about, January 29th, 2025.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):  Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing surface to which the ladder is used to gain access:  A) 35 Island Drive, Rye - NY: Employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 18 & 24-feet while using extension ladders to access a roof. The extension ladders that was used, did not extend at least 3 feet above the landing, on or about, January 29, 2025.
