29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  Reifel Industries, Inc. - Pioneer, Ohio: On or about February 3, 2025, the employer did not ensure that the transfer carts located at the Load Side of the Plating Line were guarded to protect employees from amputation injury.  Employees who raked parts from the upper transfer cart to the lower transfer cart were exposed to pinch points created by the wheels of the carts as they moved to/from the workstation (position 52), to ingoing nip points created as the barrel rotated on the cogwheels, and pinch points created as the barrel was lowered onto the upper transfer cart.   No additional abatement information is needed for this item.
