29 CFR 1910.303(e)(1): Identification of manufacturer and ratings. Electric equipment may not be used unless the following markings have been placed on the equipment: (i) The manufacturer's name, trademark, or other descriptive marking by which the organization responsible for the product may be identified; and (ii) Other markings giving voltage, current, wattage, or other ratings as necessary. (a) Prep room; On or about February 12, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure that space heaters used in the prep room area had proper identification or markings on the equipment, exposing employees to burns or smoke inhalation due to fire from overloaded circuits. (b) Delivery room: On or about February 12, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure that space heaters used in the delivery room area had proper identification or markings on the equipment, exposing employees to burns or smoke inhalation due to fire from overloaded circuits. (c) Service area: On or about February 12, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure that space heaters used in the service area had proper identification or markings on the equipment, exposing employees to burns or smoke inhalation due to fire from overloaded circuits.
