29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation:  (a) Second Level, Lot #145, Flannery Court, Madison, AL: On or about February 26, 2025, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards, in that the employer did not ensure that the employees were wearing safety glasses while operating pneumatic nail guns on the second level at heights 6 feet and greater to the ground below while employees were engaged in framing activities of the new residential home.  Lara's Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1793249, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on March 18, 2025, with respect to a workplace located at Huspa Avenue, Lot #76, Shelby, AL 35143.

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):    (a)  Second Level, Lot #145, Flannery Court, Madison, AL: On or about February 26, 2025, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that the employer did not ensure that the employees were wearing fall protection or installed guardrails around the unprotected sides and edges when working from the second level and first level ceiling  joists while performing framing activities at heights 6 feet and greater to the ground below.  Lara's Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1793249, citation number 1, item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on March 18, 2025, with respect to a workplace located at Huspa Avenue, Lot #76, Shelby, AL 35143.

29 CFR  1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards:  (a) Second Level, Lot #145, Flannery Court, Madison, AL: On or about February 26, 2025, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that the employees did not recognize fall hazards while engaged in framing activities on the unguarded edges/sides of the second level at heights 6 feet and greater to the ground below.  Lara's Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard  29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1793249, citation number 1, item number 2b and was affirmed as a final order on March 18, 2025, with respect to a workplace located at Huspa Avenue, Lot #76, Shelby, AL 35143.
