29 CFR  1910.147(c)(1): The employer did not establish a program consisting of an energy control procedures, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative:   On or about March 19, 2025, the employer did not establish an energy control program consisting of energy control procedures, employee training, and periodic inspections.  Employees using the following machines to include but not limit to the Daniels DMX Quad Mixer, Biro 7552 Meat Grinder, Biro 334 Meat Saw, Ross TC700 Tenderizer, and the Berkel 180GS Meat Slicer, were not protected from the unexpected energization, startup, or release of stored energy while performing servicing and maintenance activities, such as, but not limited to, clearing jams, cleaning and sanitizing, and maintenance activities. Energy sources include, but not limited to, electrical and pneumatic energy.
