29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13):Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems, nor were the employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b):   a) On or about May 16, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite, employees were exposed to fall hazards of  approximately 25 feet ground to eave while performing residential roofing work.  Cedar Roofing Company, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1533346, citation 1, item 1, and was affirmed final order on July 19, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 2052-2060 Claridge Ct. Northbrook, IL.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19 (d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstration that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.

29 CFR  1926.502(d)(15):Anchorages used for attachment of personal fall arrest equipment shall be independent of any anchorage being used to support or suspend platforms and capable of supporting at least 5,000 pounds (22.2 kN) per employee attached, or shall be designed, installed, and used as follows:  a) On May 16, 2025, at the above mentioned address, anchorages being used for attachment of personal fall arrest equipment were not installed so that they would be capable of supporting at least 5,000 pounds per employee attached.  Cedar Roofing Company, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1533346, citation 2, item 1, and was affirmed final order on July 19, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 2052-2060 Claridge Ct. Northbrook, IL.  No abatement certification or documentation required for this violation.
