29 CFR 1926.651(c)(2): A stairway, ladder, ramp or other safe means of egress was not located in trench excavations that were 4 feet (1.22m) or more in depth so as to require no more than 25 feet (7.62m) of lateral travel for employees: (a): Exterior- Trench - North Side - Two employees were in an excavation and were not provided with a safe means of egress within 25 feet. Two employees were working inside an excavation approximately 5-6 feet deep and 35 feet long. The only means of egress was a dirt ramp on the south side of the trench, located approximately 35 feet from the north side where the employees were positioned, on or about June 3, 2025. There is no abatement certification or documentation required for this item.
