29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.95(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equaled or exceeded an 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA) sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale or, equivalently, a dose of fifty percent: The employer did not administer a hearing conservation program for employees exposed to noise levels that exceeded a dose of fifty percent, based on an 80 dB threshold. (a) In the saws department, a web saw 1 operator/catcher was exposed to noise levels at 178.6% of the permissible 8-hour TWA (90 dBA). The equivalent dBA level of 178.6% is approximately 94.1 dBA. Sampling was performed for 538 minutes during one shift on August 8, 2025. (b) In the saws department, a web saw 1 catcher/operator was exposed to noise levels at 132.9% of the permissible 8-hour TWA (90 dBA). The equivalent dBA level of 132.9% is approximately 92 dBA. Sampling was performed for 537 minutes during one shift on August 8, 2025. (c) In the saws department, a web saw 2 operator was exposed to noise levels at 189.6% of the permissible 8-hour TWA (90 dBA). The equivalent dBA level of 189.6% is approximately 94.6 dBA. Sampling was performed for 533 minutes during one shift on August 8, 2025. (d) In the saws department, a web saw 2 catcher was exposed to noise levels at 116.1% of the permissible 8-hour TWA (90 dBA). The equivalent dBA level of 116.1% is approximately 91 dBA. Sampling was performed for 534 minutes during one shift on August 8, 2025. (e) In the saws department, a Monet 90-90 operator was exposed to noise levels at 212.9% of the permissible 8-hour TWA (90 dBA). The equivalent dBA level of 212.9% is approximately 95.4 dBA. Sampling was performed for 542 minutes during one shift on August 8, 2025. (f) In the saws department, a Monet 90-90 catcher was exposed to noise levels at 115.3% of the permissible 8-hour TWA (90 dBA). The equivalent dBA level of 115.3% is approximately 91 dBA. Sampling was performed for 536 minutes during one shift on August 8, 2025. (g) In the saws department, a DeRobo saw operator was exposed to noise levels at 96.7% of the permissible 8-hour TWA (90 dBA). The equivalent dBA level of 96.7% is approximately 89.7 dBA. Sampling was performed for 548 minutes during one shift on August 8, 2025. (h) In the saws department, a Monet 2000 saw operator/DeRobo saw helper was exposed to noise levels at 137.1% of the permissible 8-hour TWA (90 dBA). The equivalent dBA level of 137.1% is approximately 92.2 dBA. Sampling was performed for 502 minutes during one shift on August 8, 2025. (i) In the saws department, a Monet 2000 saw catcher/DeRobo saw helper was exposed to noise levels at 133.1% of the permissible 8-hour TWA (90 dBA). The equivalent dBA level of 133.1% is approximately 92 dBA. Sampling was performed for 530 minutes during one shift on August 8, 2025. (j) At the roof truss fabrication table 1, an assembler was exposed to noise levels at 121.9% of the permissible 8-hour TWA (90 dBA). The equivalent dBA level of 121.9% is approximately 91.4 dBA. Sampling was performed for 560 minutes during one shift on August 5, 2025. (k) At the floor truss fabrication table 1, an assembler was exposed to noise levels at 97.8% of the permissible 8-hour TWA (90 dBA). The equivalent dBA level of 97.8% is approximately 89.8 dBA. Sampling was performed for 310 minutes during one shift on August 5, 2025. Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled time.
