Employees were exposed to flammable ,dermal, ingestion, and inhalation hazards from exposure to gasoline. The employer had not developed and implemented a hazard communication program.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: At the jobsite located at 22014 W 51st Terrace, Shawnee, Kansas, employees were exposed to chemical hazards. Employees were exposed to dermal, ingestion, and inhalation hazards from exposure to hazardous chemicals without being provided with information and training on how to recognize, avoid and/or eliminate the hazards associated with the gasoline.

The Jose Garcia DBA JK Renovations, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1709617, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 01-30-2024, with respect to a workplace located at 9110 Riggs Lane, Overland Park Kansas 66212.
