29 CFR  1926.501(b)(1):Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  a) 665 N. 2nd st, Long Branch, NJ: Two employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately forty-five feet to the ground below. They were off-loading materials from a Caterpillar telehandler (Serial No. T7400593) while standing and working near the edge of the roof. The employees were not protected from falls by either personal fall protection equipment or a guardrail system. Observed on or about 6/25/25  NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
