On or about  July 16th, 2025, employees repairing and replacing roof tiles on a shed were not protected from falling approximately 8  feet to the ground below.   Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1):Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:  a) At the worksite, 1 Mader Place Amityville NY 11701. On or about  July 16th, 2025, employees were accessing the work area while climbing a 6 foot aluminum A Frame ladder to access a roof that was approximately 8 feet above the ground.   Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.
