29 CFR 1926.302(b)(3): All pneumatically driven nailers, staplers, and other similar equipment provided with automatic fastener feed, which operate at more than 100 p.s.i. pressure at the tool did not have a safety device on the muzzle to prevent the tool from ejecting fasteners, unless the muzzle is in contact with the work surface: a) On or before July 01, 2025, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure employees were provided with pneumatically driven nail guns with operational safety devices, muzzle, to prevent the tool from accidentally ejecting a fastener toward the operator. The pneumatic nail guns were used to drive 2" or longer framing nails. Compressor to drive the nail guns was a 150 p.s.i pancake unit. This condition exposed employees to struck-by hazards.
