29 CFR 1917.71(f) Containers were not handled using lifting fittings or other arrangements suitable and intended for the purpose as set forth in paragraphs (f)(1) through (f)(4) of this section, unless damage to an intermodal container made special means of handling necessary:   (a) Worksite - On or about July 18, 2025, employees were moving a loaded intermodal container and were not using the lifting fittings or other suitable arrangements intended for the purpose, in that a spreader bar was not used when lifting the container to ensure that lifting forces were applied vertically from at least four such fittings.
