29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  a) On or about July 28, 2024, employees were exposed to struck by hazards from using a pneumatic air nail gun to secure flashing and shingles to a residential roof without wearing eye protection.

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:  a) On or about July 28, 2024, employees were exposed to fall hazards of 10 feet 6 inches to the ground below, while utilizing a portable Werner Ladder to access and egress the residential roof that did not extend at least 3 feet above the desired landing.
