29 CFR  1910.141(a)(5):Vermin control. Every enclosed workplace shall be so constructed, equipped, and maintained, so far as reasonably practicable, as to prevent the entrance or harborage of rodents, insects, and other vermin. A continuing and effective extermination program shall be instituted where their presence is detected.  On or about November 14, 2025 in Salem, NH.  Rodents were detected in the garden center cashier huts, an effective extermination program was not instituted.  Rodent feces was located throughout all working surfaces of the cashier hut.  Home Depot was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.141(a)(5), which was contained in OSHA inspection number1460528, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on April 29, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 58 Plaistow Rd, Plaistow NH 03865.
