29 CFR  1910.179(j)(3): Complete inspections of the crane was not being performed at intervals as generally defined in paragraph (j)(1)(ii)(b) of this section:  The employer did not ensure complete inspections of the crane was being performed annually. Employees were exposed to struck-by hazards due to using the Harrington cranes with out having completed periodic inspections.

29 CFR  1910.184(h)(1):Sling use. Employers must use natural and synthetic fiber-rope slings that have permanently affixed and legible identification markings stating the rated capacity for the type(s) of hitch(es) used and the angle upon which it is based, type of fiber material, and the number of legs if more than one.  In the production area, employees were exposed to struck by hazards. Employees engaged in fabrication activities were exposed to struck-by hazards in that the synthetic fiber-rope sling for the Harrington 1/4 ton hoist did not have permanently affixed durable identification stating size, grade, rated capacity, and reach.
