29 CFR 1926.303(b)(1): Grinding machines were not equipped with safety guards in conformance with the requirements of ANSI B7.1-1970, Safety Code for the Use, Care, and Protection of abrasive wheels, and paragraph (d) of this section: (a) Above south overhead door, On or about January 7, 2026, the employer did not ensure the 180-degree exposure guard was installed on a Milwaukee brand cordless angle grinder (S/N L64BF2418 13039) equipped with an abrasive grinding wheel, while an employee used it to grind the heads off of rivets. (b) Above west overhead door, On or about January 7, 2026, the employer did not ensure the 180-degree exposure guard was installed on a Milwaukee brand cordless angle grinder (S/N L64BF2418 13039) equipped with an abrasive grinding wheel, while an employee used it to grind the heads off of rivets.
