USS Portland, 04-Level: On or about January 14, 2026, and at times prior thereto, employee(s) used chemicals such as Flex-Tred Edge Sealing Compound and Haze Grey Paint. The employer did not have copies of the safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical and did not ensure that they were readily accessible at the worksite. This condition potentially exposed employee(s) to chemical hazard(s).

29 CFR 1915.157(a): The employer did not ensure that employees used appropriate hand protection or protective clothing when exposed to hazards such as skin absorption of harmful substances, severe cuts, lacerations, abrasions, punctures, chemical burns, thermal burns, harmful temperature extremes, and sharp objects.  USS Portland, 04-Level: On or about January 14, 2026, and at times prior thereto, the employer did not ensure that all employee(s) wore appropriate hand protection when using chemicals such as Flex-Tred Edge Sealing Compound and Haze Grey Paint. This condition potentially exposed employee(s) to chemical hazard(s).
