29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  On or about February 6, 2026, and times prior the employer exposed employees to caught-in/struck-by hazards in that the employer failed to install machine guarding around the Scrap Rewind, exposing employees to the rotating parts of the machine while employees attempt to reconnect the trim.  First American Resources Company LLC (Delaware) was cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.2129a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1722871, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 07/08/2024, with respect to a workplace located at 2030 Riverview Industrial Dr. SE Mableton GA. 30126.

29 CFR  1910.147(a)(2)(ii)(B): 29 CFR 1910.147(a)(2)(ii)(A): Lockout/tagout procedures were not implemented when servicing and/or maintenance was taking place during normal production operations when an employee was required to place any part of his/her body into area on a machine or piece of equipment's point of operation.   Slitter #1. On or about February 6, 2026, and times prior the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards in that Lockout/tagout procedures were not implemented to protect employees that were tasked with reattaching the Slitter #1 trim to the trim ball.

29 CFR  1910.179(j)(3): Complete inspections of the crane was not being performed at intervals as generally defined in paragraph (j)(1)(ii)(b) of this section, depending upon its activity, severity of service, and environment, or as specifically indicated below. These inspections shall include the requirements of paragraph (j)(2) of this section and in addition, the following items. Any deficiencies such as listed shall be carefully examined and determination made as to whether they constitute a safety hazard:    a) Production area:  On or about February 6, 2026, and times prior the employer exposed employees to struck-by and crushing hazards while moving wire coils, in that an overhead crane (Harrington overhead crane) was not being inspected frequently.
