Two employees and the owner were performing framing work on a newly constructed structure, without any fall protection system.  As a result, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of about 16 feet.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  a) On or about February 10, 2026, the employer failed to ensure that employees working on a low?slope roof were protected from falling when performing parapet blocking work at the roof edge. Two employees and the owner were observed working near the unprotected edge, without the use of any fall protection system such as guardrails, personal fall arrest, or a safety net system. As a result, employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 16 feet to the ground below.
