29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9):The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch. Trident Seafoods C/P Starbound, Maintenance Shop: On or about February 23, 2026, the employer did not ensure that adjustable tongue for the right-side grinding wheel of the Palmgren 10" Bench Grinder Model No: 82101A used by employee(s) was installed and adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one fourth inch. Employee(s) were potentially exposed to projectile and/or amputation hazard(s). OSHA Instruction: Shipyard Employment "Tool Bag" Directive - CPL 02-00-162 allows for the applicability of 29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9) in the ship building and ship repair industry.
