Berth 92, M/V George II: On or about March 17, 2026, and at times prior thereto, the handrail on the auxiliary platform of the gangway was not kept taut at all times due to a broken stanchion. This condition potentially exposed employee(s) to fall hazard(s).

29 CFR  1918.22(e): The employer did not provide a net or other suitable protection where the gangway overhung the water so that there was danger of employees falling between the ship and the dock.  Berth 92, M/V George II: On or about March 17, 2026, and at times prior thereto, a suitable net protection was not provided to prevent employee(s) from receiving serious injury from falls to a lower level. The netting did not extend 5 feet past both sides of the gangway and potentially exposed employee(s) to fall hazards.
