29 CFR  1926.502(g)(1)(i): When control lines are used, they shall be erected not less than 6 feet (1.8 m) nor more than 25 feet (7.7 m) from the unprotected or leading edge, except when erecting precast concrete members. 29 CFR  1926.502(h)(1): The employer did not did not designate a competent person to monitor the safety of other employees and/or did not ensure that the safety monitor complied with the requirements listed in (h)(1)(i) through (h)(1)(v) of this section:  Army Reserve Center, Garage Building: On or about April 9, 2026, a safety line system was used as the fall protection method for employees conducting roofing work on the approximately 23ft roof, and there was not a designated competent person in place to monitor the employees.
