Their head struck a mounting bracket (about 3 inches off the floor) that mounts a piece of equipment associated with the conveyor to the floor. The employee sustained an intracerebral hemorrhage, a laceration to the forehead requiring 17 stitches, a fractured nose, and multiple neck fractures.
