Employee 1 and employee 2 were operating a welding robot in the fabrication department. Employee 1 was loading a fin bank into the welding cell and was walking backwards into the welding cell while operating an overhead crane. Employee 1 stepped backwards into an open pit and fell approximately 8 feet. Employee 1 sustained the following injuries: fractured pelvis at both hip sockets, fractured ribs, fractured right elbow, fractured right shoulder. Employee 1 is hospitalized at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
