A truck backed into the dock crooked, preventing PIT entry into the trailer. The dock latch was engaged, and the truck needed to pull out and back in again. The injured employee attempted to release the hook. The hook re-engaged, pinching the employee's fingers between the hook and trailer. The employee received an amputation to the right ring finger and scratched the right pinky finger.
