An employee was injured while working from a scissor lift installing a metal corrugated steel panel on a wall. The employee was removing an angle iron on an overhead door that was connected to the overhead door spring. As the final bolt was removed, the spring's tension was released, causing the angle iron to repeatedly strike the employee's left hand. The employee sustained fractured bones and severed tendons in the left hand.
