On or about November 4, 2015, at 9:00 am an employee was fusing 24-inch diameter plastic pipe in a field when the excavator operator tried to adjust the alignment of the pipe and caused the torqued pipe to swing into the employee, knocking him to the ground. The pipe then crushed and broke his lower right leg before it was lifted away. The employee was hospitalized for pin placement and overnight observation.
