Final narrative
On February 29, 2016, 2nd shift (2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.) the injured employee was performing his regular job duties to assemble wooden crates with a pneumatic staple gun, nail gun, and other hand tools. At approximately at 6:40 p.m., the injured employee was adjusting his position to assemble the bottom of the crate that was enclosing a part placed on the pallet on the floor. The injured employee moved around the crate to position his body and inadvertently pressed or had something else press the staple gun's trigger to initiate the stapling cycle. Subsequently it came sideways in contact with his right leg area above the kneecap and resulted in a puncture wound.
