An employee was retrieving a hard hat that had blown off his head and onto the grass when he slipped on the wet grass, twisting his ankle and falling to the ground. The employee suffered a fractured left fibula with bone chips in the vicinity of his ankle and ligament damage. The employee was hospitalized for surgery.
