On April 25, 2017 at 10:30 a.m., two employees were installing a fire hose on a fire hydrant for washing piping when a car ran over the hose, causing it to become lodged under the car. The hose and water meter were pulled from the hydrant and struck the employees, knocking them to the ground. One employee was hospitalized for a laceration to the back of his head, bleeding on the brain, and a fractured right ankle.
