On July 20, 2017, an employee was using a handheld drill to drill a hole in a window frame when the drill bit slipped across the frame and caught the employee's glove. The employee's glove and left thumb became twisted around the drill bit, causing a laceration and fracture to the left thumb between the nailbed and first knuckle.
