Final narrative
An employee was working on a refractory dry-out project using a gas-fired heating method. During the process of lighting one of the burners, the bulkhead blew out. The employee suffered second degree burns to the face and hands, first degree burns to the throat and lungs, broken ribs, and a collapsed lung.
