An employee was using a concrete pump to repair sidewalks and curbing. The pump could not reach the location where pumping was done and additional hoses were connected. While holding the hose end, he lost control of it and was struck in the head by the hose end. The employee sustained head lacerations requiring stiches and was hospitalized overnight.
