An employee was lifting a piece of steel weighing approximately 100 lbs. onto the work bench utilizing a magnetic lifting device attached to a jib crane. When the employee began to move the piece of steel, it fell from the magnet and struck the employee's left foot. The employee was hospitalized for foot fractures.
